Chili Ground Beef

Chili ground beef is a technical term for beef steak trimmings that are passed through a 3/4 inch plate only once. We also prefer that most of our chili ground beef comes from the chuck where the richest flavored beef comes from. As a result our ground chili beef will be slightly darker in color than regular ground beef. The courser ground ensures that the chili produced is chunky with discernible bites of beefy goodness. Whether you are a fan of Northern style, or Texas style chili this ground beef will be the perfect base. My only word of caution, if you happen to be making a thin Ohio-style chili with spaghetti, swap the meat for a finer ground beef like the ground round or hamburger meat.
